Position Overview:

Our Liquid Products Division is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join our dynamic team in Conyers, GA. As a Packaging Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of packaging solutions for our liquid food products, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality Assurance, and Procurement to identify packaging requirements and develop innovative packaging solutions.
Design and optimize packaging materials and formats for liquid food products, considering factors such as product protection, shelf life, transportation, and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct packaging trials, performance evaluations, and compatibility testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for packaging-related issues encountered during manufacturing, distribution, and customer use.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize environmental impact.
Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in packaging engineering and apply them to optimize our packaging operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging engineering, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and packaging design tools.
Strong knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and manufacturing technologies.
Experience with packaging testing methodologies, such as ISTA and ASTM standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Competitive base salary starting around $95,000, depending on experience.
Annual bonus of 7-10.5% based on performance.
