We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Overnight Maintenance Technician for its manufacturing operations located in Cullman, Alabama.
Job duties include: Perform mechanical and electrical failure diagnoses and repairs on advanced industrial equipment. Equipment types include pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, programmable logic and computer controlled systems used to produce PEXA Pipe and PVC gaskets. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance task ensuring equipment production readiness at all times. Communicate with coworkers and management personnel both verbally and written whereby information may be passed that is critical for production readiness. Work on projects as necessary for improvements or production growth. Respond to trouble calls in a timely manner eliminating unnecessary downtime. Find root cause of failures eliminating repeat failures for the same issue. Have a troubleshooting strategy which will aid in finding and repairing failures quickly. Perform calibration on equipment. Preferred associate degree in maintenance related field. 5+ years preferred industrial maintenance experience. Experienced in diagnoses and repair of pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, programmable logic and computer controlled systems. Be able to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical blue prints including pneumatic schematics. Education and /or Experience Required: Associate Degree in a Maintenance related field or 3 years on the job experience Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to read and carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to analyze problems involving production and notify proper people Experienced in diagnoses and repair of complex automated equipment Be able to read and comprehend electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings/schematics. Experience with maintaining extrusion dies. Tool and Die experience preferred.
