Outpatient Clinician Intern- Roanoke Life Bridge Counseling is a family-owned agency, headquartered in Richmond, with office sites in 7 locations: Roanoke, Wytheville, Staunton, Glen Allen, Chester, Newport News, and Chesapeake. As an Outpatient Clinician Intern , you will provide clinical services in an outpatient setting under the supervision of a VA Counselor or Social Work Board-approved clinical supervisor.
Education and Experience: A minimum of a second year Master's Student in a Human Services field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc). Basic understanding of counseling services and client interactions. Prior experience in a related field or internship is preferred but not required.
Essential Duties include:
Providing direct services to clients in short-term and long-term counseling settings Establishing rapport and building strong therapeutic relationships with clients through interactive age-appropriate games, utlizing evidence-based practices, including unconditional positive regard, and using basic attending skills to build relational connection with clients. Providing complete case conceptualization and treatment plans for clients so the needs of the clients are fully addressed. Using TherapyNotes, inters will document and conceptualize cases, treatment plans, and treatment progress in a thorough and timely manner Providing appropriate interventions and referrals based on the client's needs. Using evidenced based practices, intern will administer appropriate interventions in relation to client's need and will utilize referrals when necessary. Providing timely and complete documentation of all counseling interactions. Using TherapyNotes, intern will complete progress notes on a weekly basis to keep documentation current and accurate.
