Cyprus Credit Union has a current opening for an Outbound Sales Agent, this is a full time position located at our Jordan Landing location. The hours for the position are 09:00 AM to 06:00 Pm Monday through Friday.
This person will be responsible for promoting credit union products as a professional inside sales representative. Conducts phone calls to existing members to refinance loans at other financial institutions,in an effort to make Cyprus CU their primary financial institution. Agents are given a list of leads based on members who have recently received a loan from Cyprus CU. Ensures customers are well satisfied with products and services. Makes calls members from an existing list of closed loans to add insurance products (GAP). Makes recommendations to management regarding product development, pricing, and sales projections. Assists area personnel as needed. Flexible schedule available.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of area sales and marketing functions. Places outbound phone calls to prospective members as requested.
Leads are provided from members who have recently received a loan from the credit union.
Prospects for new accounts and seeks opportunities to increase existing ones.
Conducts regular phone calls to develop member relationships and follow up on leads.
Tracks sales deals through closing and finalizes sales contracts.
Meets established quotas and sales goals.
Ensures assigned sales accounts are serviced through phone support in accordance with Company standards and policies.
Ensures products are delivered on time.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good business relations with customers and external trade contacts. Ensures members are satisfied with credit union products and services and well supported through phone contact.
Obtains member feedback and continually works to improve products and services.
Resolves member requests, complaints, and problems.
Promotes goodwill and conveys a positive image of the credit union.
Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with Company personnel and with management. Sets sales goals in accordance with Company objectives. Tracks progress toward goals.
Provides assistance to area personnel as needed.
Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly.
Attends meetings as required.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. Completes special projects.
Provides backup for other sales positions as needed.
Ensures work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS Existing accounts are maintained or expanded through professional phone sales activities.
New accounts are developed through effective telemarketing.
Inside sales and profit goals are met or exceeded.
Accounts are well supported in accordance with established Company policies and procedures.
Deliveries of products are timely.
Good working relationships exist with members.
Management is appropriately informed of significant problems and area activities.
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification : High school graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge : Good knowledge of Company products and services.
Understanding of product positioning and competitive conditions.
Knowledge of inside sales strategies and techniques.
Experience Required : Previous sales experience helpful.
Skills/Abilities : Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
Excellent sales abilities.
Well organized.
Problem solving abilities.
Able to use computer tracking system.
