Order Entry Technician

Job summary
Order Entry Technician is a senior level position.Advanced knowledge of lens availabilities and ability to troubleshoot system issues within Rx Portal.Performs a wide range of tasks associated with the Portal order entry processes.

Responsibilities
• Review, edit, and categorize all orders within Portal.• Manually enter orders from submitted paper RX order forms.• Apply special billing codes for correct billing.• Restart escalated orders after researching and troubleshooting.• Research and clarify for appropriate invoicing and credits.• Communicate with customer service agents and respond to inquiries.• Run audits and reports for analysis and order quality.• Work with Lab IT to assure proper translation tables for incoming remote-entry orders.• Collect and maintain knowledge of product portfolio and coating combinations.• Follow directions and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.• Strong customer focus and service attitude.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Excellent interpersonal skills for professional interactions.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under time pressure.• Strong problem solving, teamwork, and time management skills.• 3 to 5 years of technical customer service experience and/or optical experience.• Willingness and ability to catch up on customer service and/or optical skills and knowledge.• Solid computer and Microsoft Office skills.
