Responsibilities
• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities.• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders and ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.• Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system.• Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eyes.• Enter patient information and complete required clinical documentation.• Travel to skilled nursing facilities for mobile model treatment of patients.• Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.)• State professional license• Valid driver's license• TPA certified• Ability to work independently• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills• Ability to use email, internet, and learn healthcare related software
