Colorado Eye Center is seeking an experienced Optometric Technician for our Thornton, CO. office . He and his colleague, John Faulker, established the Center with one overarching goal: transform the way eye care is seen and approached in Colorado and beyond. Both doctors specialized not only in general optometry but also (and most importantly) inpatient care. From the office they shared, they made sure to operate with a "patient, first" mentality being at the forefront of their efforts. This was the case in 1963. And that legacy of care continues today. Today, Colorado Eye Center has 13 specialized doctors and six facilities. Our practice continues to advance forward, not only keeping up with the standard but innovating past the 'expected' to discover the unimaginable.

Optometric Technicians are responsible for assisting the Optometrist by documenting patient information into the Electronic Health Record as well as taking ocular measurements and administering treatment as allowed and ordered by the physician. 
If you don't have all the skill s listed below, don't be discouraged. No resume paints a complete picture of a person. There is a good chance that you are more wonderful than you think. So please apply. Initial work up of patients such as gathering chief complaint, ocular and systemic history, past family and social history and complete review of systems. Measuring visual acuities, intraocular pressures, confrontational fields, EOMS, and more Performing external slit lamp examination and administering eye drops Scribe in electronic medical records format to document the patient visit and examination. Assist with stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness of patient exams room and other administrative or clinical duties as assigned. At least one year of experience in a work-up position within an optometric practice is preferred. Must be willing to travel to other offices occasionally to meet the demands of business. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Be a well-organized team-player with great attention to detail. Demonstrate superior computer skills. Highly energetic with positive attitude Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours. Must be able to type or write legibly in a dimly lit setting.
