Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in helping our patients find the perfect eyewear solutions to meet their vision needs and personal style preferences.
Key Responsibilities: Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that suit their vision needs, lifestyle, and budget. Take accurate measurements and provide expert fittings to ensure proper alignment, comfort, and functionality of eyewear. Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance, including cleaning techniques and lens options. Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses, including verifying prescriptions and ensuring accurate delivery. Perform adjustments, repairs, and replacements as needed to optimize the fit and performance of eyewear. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, prescriptions, and orders using electronic health record systems. Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in eyewear to provide the best possible service to patients. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience working as an Optician in a similar setting, with a strong understanding of optical principles and practices. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately perform measurements and fittings. Knowledge of various lens types, coatings, and materials, as well as frame styles and brands. Proficiency in using optical equipment, tools, and software systems. Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
