Georgia-Pacific's Oriented Strand Board (OSB) plant in Hosford Florida has an incredible opportunity for an Operator Support . Starting rate is $17.50 per hour , during initial training . The ideal candidate will demonstrate safety as a value and work together as part of a Team to exceed production expectations for the shift. The candidate must be self-driven and demonstrate a commitment to safety, manufacturing excellence, and quality. ***$1,000 Staggered Sign-On Bonus***

You will support production on a rotating shift schedule that provides you as much as 7 consecutive days off in a 4-week cycle, as part of a Team that embraces success and growth, in a region of Florida renown for it's many outdoor offerings when you are off. What You Will Do Learn new tasks (including functions in control cab, control room, and ground support) and become proficient in performing these tasks. Maintain safe and clean working environment, using variety of equipment, including air hoses, shovels, rakes, saws, and other tools. Operate mobile equipment to include a front-end loader, sweeper, and forklift. Communicate upset conditions and apply corrective measures in the assigned area before problems escalate. Other duties as assigned. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Minimum of 6 months experience working in manufacturing, farming, landscaping, carpentry, warehouse, construction, military, or industrial environments. Ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing/pulling for much of a 12-hour day, at times, in very warm and humid conditions. What Will Put You Ahead Experience working in a lumber or wood products facility. Experience using a computer or tablet for documentation and/or record-keeping functions. Experience operating and/or troubleshooting industrial equipment. Experience operating mobile equipment, especially in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing experience.
On average, Operator Supports qualify/advance to Operator 1 level by around day 90, then move to at least $18.50. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
