Job summary
The Operator is responsible for monitoring the system and ensuring the safe operation of the equipment.They also assist with repairs, document process readings, and report any issues to supervisors.Additionally, they may perform equipment maintenance tasks and handle chemicals as required.

Responsibilities
• Monitor the system by observing pressure, temperature, and relative humidity measurements.• Turn valves and adjust controls to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.• Observe sterilizers and auxiliary units for malfunctions and assist with repairs.• Document and record process readings.• Report damaged product to supervisors.• Report system problems to maintenance supervisors or technicians.• Perform daily and weekly equipment preventative maintenance tasks.• Store and remove chemicals following established procedures and laws.• Participate in plant safety committees and follow safety rules and regulations.• Assist with other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED.• Minimum of six months to one year of experience in a sterilization environment desired.• Fluent in English and capable of basic mathematical calculations.• Willingness to work established shifts and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.• Forklift driving experience and computer skills are desired.• Experience with EO sterilization of products is desirable.• Must be medically approved for respirator use and tolerate exposure to high temperatures and humidity.
