Duties Each duty assumes you will be working under the CEO and Chief of Staff as the local ambassador for the San Francisco office. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity and team happiness and motivation through the implementation of methods and strategies.
Make important policy, planning and strategy decisions Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance, high morale, and an empowered team who consistently rises above expectations Identify and address problems and opportunities for the local office and company Locally coach, counsel and discipline employees as needed (working under the Chief of Staff and CEO) Enforce policies and procedures, including ensuring people arrive on time and work as expected in the local office, tracking time off and lower productivity periods Build alliances and partnerships with other local organizations Manage awards process and tracking for agency and client work Assist recruiting team with recruiting local talent and host prospective employees in the office Host clients ensuring the environment is professional, clean, and tailored to their expectations (pitch theater/staging, branding, serving refreshments, etc.) Prepare and complete action plans Implement and enforce standards Resolve problems Identify trends Maintain positive, safe, healthy and encouraging work environment – you must provide inspired leadership for the San Francisco office and company. Assist with travel booking and calendaring for CEO and local talent De-escalate and help calm and focus team when there are many competing priorities Maintain a feedback loop between the local talent and management Resource appropriately by knowing the optimal person for the brief and how to get the best from the team Plan and facilitate weekly Happy Hour celebrations Serve on cross-office leadership team and check in daily with Chief of Staff Requirements 6+ years professional agency experience or combination agency and in-house experience for a major brand Previous talent management of at least 5 direct reports Reporting skills Ability to tailor the message for the audience Conflict management Strong negotiation skills Ability to influence and lead Entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset Able to juggle many priorities Ability to de-escalate and help team Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and with people from many different backgrounds Strong morale compass Bachelor's degree in operations management, communications or a related field (or convince us otherwise) Background We're not a traditional PR firm.
