POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Manager supports management and all team members and oversees the day-to-day operations with a specific focus on maintaining the highest standards of care. We are committed to delivering unforgettable experiences for our guests while maximizing returns for our property owners.
The role requires availability to work weekends and holidays, cover shifts for other employees, and be on call for emergency situations. Hours may vary according to guest census and workload.
Responsibilities include hiring and managing the operations staff, optimizing processes to provide exceptional experiences for clients, reporting to management, and performing the outlined responsibilities in conformity with company standards, confidentiality requirements, and State of Hawaii regulations. The primary responsibility of this role is to coordinate closely with vendors to arrange property repairs, consult with homeowners to secure their approval, and oversee the execution of the work performed.
To succeed in this role, you must be highly organized, detail-oriented, possess strong leadership and communication skills, be hands-on, able to tactfully handle day-to-day problems, work well with management and other staff members, and deliver excellent customer care. You must also demonstrate ethical behavior, good judgment, dependability, and professionalism at all times. The Operations Manager is responsible for performing some duties of other team members when necessary and assigned, and contributing to the profitable operation of the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee daily and preventative maintenance operations, ensuring properties meet company standards and guest expectations. Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely and high-quality services, leveraging technology tools for efficiency. Schedule and conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety and quality standards adherence. Collaborate with the team to address repairs, replacements, or improvements for optimum guest/owner satisfaction and implement technologies to enhance communication, scheduling, and reporting. Respond promptly to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints, analyze guest reviews to identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Hire, train, and supervise operational staff, providing ongoing coaching and performance evaluations to ensure alignment with company goals and values. Develop and manage property budgets and expense controls, monitor property revenue and occupancy rates, and identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance profitability. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in property management preferred, or a related field with knowledge in general home maintenance/upkeep, repairs, home appliances, and can lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and manage a diverse team. Ability to develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple properties and tasks simultaneously. Proficient in using technology and software for scheduling, reporting, and communication. Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to make quick, effective decisions. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Annual Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 based on experience and achievement
Bonus: Semi-annual bonuses contingent on company growth and performance
