DESCRIPTION The Worldwide (WW) Last Mile Design team supports Amazon's world-class network of delivery station facilities in North America and Europe and is responsible for the operational/process layout of every new station launched, the optimization of existing stations in the network, and the development of network-wide design standards.
We are looking for an Operations Engineer who will perform benchmarking of the operational/process layouts and designs of our delivery station facilities with the mission of continuously improving safety, cost, and efficiency. This includes benchmarking design standards and performance across regions, identifying unnecessary variation, and propagating best in class standards.
Key job responsibilities
•Deliver benchmarking projects that objectively measure and improve safety, associate experience, quality, and cost to serve in delivery station design and engineering, including: data collection, data analysis, recommendation development, and presentation of results and data-backed recommendations to senior leaders.
•Analyze data and build authoritative reports.
•Influence and collaborate with partner teams in developing and tracking closure on actionable findings.
•Participate in cross-functional team workshops/Kaizens using LEAN methodologies to document existing systems and processes and develop scalable and sustainable solutions.
•Develop and embody expertise on delivery station processes and design standards, including material flow, labor placement, conveyors, equipment, operations' modules, packaging profiles, physical building components, and site layout components.
•Contribute to a culture of standardization using best practice sharing with Europe (EU) and North America (NA) counterparts.
•Contribute to the creation and improvement of mechanisms to increase scale, speed, and quality of benchmarking projects within the team.

Bellevue, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
- 3+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
- Experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes
- Experience with benchmarking technical equipment and metrics
