We are looking for a focused and proactive, team player to join our New York Operations team here at Capstone. Someone knowledgeable with some derivative products but looking to expand that would be an ideal addition. Divided between NY and London, our Operations team shares space with the trading floor. This team member will interact and collaborate with members from various departments across the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations between the funds own proprietary system and that of their administratorsWork with the operations team to perform daily reconciliation against the funds counterparts on both listed and OTC accountsLiaise with the front and middle office to help resolve top day and T+1 P&L issuesHelp to improve current reconciliation platforms used by the Operations teamWork with other Capstone teams on the launch of new accounts/strategies/fundsLead process improvements – recognize inefficiencies or gaps, recommend improvements, and help implement new processesAct as a point of contact for any queries from Portfolio Managers and TradersEnsure urgent items get escalated at the appropriate pace
DESIRABLE CANDIDATES: 1-2 years of operations experienceDisplays a high standard of accuracy and attention to detailSuperior ability to multitask and handle multiple urgent prioritiesExperience and knowledge dealing across multiple asset types and products (rates, convertible bonds, equities, options, FX, commodities, etc.)Ability to maintain internal and external relationshipsDesire to work within a deadline driven team environmentAdvanced ExcelBASE SALARY RANGE $80,000 USD depending on experience
