Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver relevant course material consistent with teaching at an R1 University.• Lead research initiatives among nursing faculty and students, healthcare partners, and other departments within the university.• Serve on University, College and School committees as elected.• Provide a national and or international presence in relevant professional organizations that advance the field of health care genetics and genomics.• Mentorship of students, including service on PhD, Master and/or undergraduate research committees.• Participate in activities related to the advancement of the mission, vision, and goals for the School of Nursing.
Requirements
• PhD in Nursing or related field• Eligible for South Carolina Registered Nurse license• Evidence or potential for continued research funding and scholarly publications with a track record in genetic/genomic research• Prior experience with teaching undergraduate and graduate level students• Evidence of successful research and grant writing• Experience leading laboratory and/or clinical research and supervising undergraduate and graduate students• Ability to successfully lead students to successful completion of dissertation requirements
