Valero Energy is seeking an entry-level Online Web Chat Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. As an Online Web Chat Specialist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service through online chat platforms, addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering a positive online experience for our customers. This role is perfect for someone who is independent, dedicated, and possesses strong persuasion and strategic planning skills.
Responsibilities:- Engage with customers through online chat platforms to address inquiries and provide assistance- Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner- Utilize strategic planning to identify opportunities to enhance the online customer experience- Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery- Keep accurate records of customer interactions and transactions- Stay up to date on company products, services, and promotions to provide accurate information to customers
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a related field- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Excellent persuasion skills and the ability to think strategically- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online chat platforms- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
