Responsibilities
• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices• Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching• Plan age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage growth• Maintain frequent communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and conferences• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met• Ensure a healthy classroom environment and safety of children• Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers• Maintain accurate records, forms, and files• Maintain personal professional development plan• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
Requirements
• High energy and ability to work well with others• Strong understanding of child development• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification• Must clear full background check and pass health screening• Must have physical abilities such as walking, handling objects, and kneeling• Specific vision ability required• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
