Office Worker Location Eureka Springs, AR : Work on the forefront of outdoor recreation in Eureka Springs and Northwest Arkansas! We're Float Eureka, a watersports outfitter specializing in canoe, kayak, and stand up paddleboard rentals and operating an outdoor gear retail shop. We're located on highway 62 in the heart of Eureka Springs. We help our guests decide on an outdoor adventure and get on the water on one of the rivers and lakes in the area. What you'll do: Rent canoes, kayaks, stand up paddleboards, and related gear to customers Assist customers with choosing a river or lake trip destination Sell merchandise in our shop, monitor inventory, and replenish displays Load and unload boats from canoe trailers, shuttle vehicles, and customers' vehicles Answer customer phone calls and emails Use technology to conduct business efficiently Check customers in for trips and explain the float; ensure customer waivers are signed Clean boats, equipment, and the office You must be able to: Work weekends and summer holidays. Assist a second person to lift 75+lb canoes and kayaks over your head and load them onto a canoe trailer. Work well independently and as part of a team in a high performing environment. Communicate reliably via email or text with management and other team members. Work on your feet and be active during your shift We're looking for: Someone who enjoys interacting with people and providing great customer service. The ideal candidate has some experience working independently in a retail or other customer service setting. This role is responsible for keeping equipment and displays clean and organized. While the job is office based, you should be able to perform physical tasks. It's a plus if you appreciate the outdoors and being on the water, but not required and we will train you for the position.
Job schedule: The position starts in April and is 2-3 days a week (mostly weekends) for the first few weeks and then increases to 5 days a week later in May through mid-August, then decreasing to 2-3 days a week through mid-September when the position ends. The 5 day a week schedule is Wednesday - Sunday. Must be able to work Saturdays, holidays, and any other day we are busy.
