Overview: The Office Operation Coordinator provides a variety of clerical support services such as report preparation, charge entry, patient registration, data management, medical records management, physician support for billing, employee orientation and record maintenance to facilitate the efficient and accurate operation of the department. The office coordinator serves as a communication link to the hospital as a receptionist for the department, receives patients, manages the telephone and schedules appointments. Other responsibilities include support of in-servicetraining, process improvement, minutes of department meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings and quality assurance. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: 2 years experience in a health care setting involving patient scheduling, materials management, customer relations, and patient interaction Other: Must have excellent computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet development.
