Responsibilities
• Perform administrative functions related to regulatory and ethical review process• Independently review research protocols submitted to regulatory committees• Check for completeness and compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements• Act as a resource to investigators, research coordinators, and administrators• Facilitate open communication between researchers, ORI, and regulatory committees• Assure timely review and processing of protocols in accordance with regulations and SOPs
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred• 3-4 years experience directly relating to research administration required• Understanding of research involving potentially hazardous biologics required• Knowledge of federal regulations and ethical standards required• Understanding of AAHRPP accreditation standards required• Knowledge of animal welfare act preferred• Knowledge of NIH guidelines required• CIP certification required within 12 months from date of hire
