REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Occupational Therapy Assistant reports directly to the supervising Occupational Therapist, Director of Rehabilitation Services or supervisor designated at the site.

Salary: $26.00 - $28.06/ hour based on experience
The Occupational Therapy Assistant assists with implementing and providing high quality Occupational therapy care and services to residents consistent with regulations and established rehabilitation policies, procedures and best practices.
• Provide patient/resident and family education/consultation related to the disorder and its management.
• Communicate resident status and needs to the patient/resident, their family, staff and other professionals (i.e. care conferences).
• Provide direct care of residents with physician ordered evaluation and treatment based upon regulations and established rehabilitation procedures and best practices as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain records by practice standards, third party payers and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain all required documentation in accordance with regulations and established rehabilitation best practices.
• Maintain treatment area, equipment and supply inventory as directed.
• Provide assistance with the daily operations of the rehab department as directed.
• Coordinate rehabilitation care with other health care professionals inside and outside PHS.
Graduate for an accredited program for occupational therapy assistants. Current licensure in the state of practice as required Competence in assisting occupational therapy evaluation and treatment per OT standards of practice Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
