Responsibilities
• Provides direct patient care including history taking, assessment, and examination• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies• Performs preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care• Manages acute and chronic disease conditions• Develops and implements patient-centered plan of care• May perform diagnostic or therapeutic interventions• Provides counseling and education to patients and families/caregivers• Monitors and ensures accuracy of patient medical records• Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families• Provides management services for clinical research study projects
Requirements
• Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in the Nurse Practitioner program• APN licensure or ability to obtain licensure within three months of hire• Certain/additional certifications may be necessary based on area of specialty• Basic Life Support certification• Graduate of PA program• Current PA licensure to practice in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois• Basic Life Support certification
