The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will be joining a highly-accredited hospital that boasts a Magnet Designation and a NICHE Designation. The Nurse Director will continue the tradition of providing exceptional care within the Surgical Department.
Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director Perioperative Services will work in conjunction with the Vice President of Patient Services and Director of Nursing to ensure that all patients receive high-quality, compassionate care from all areas of the hospital. Leading an experienced staff of RNs, LPNs, and Techs, this director will oversee a Department that includes General Surgery, Cardiac Catheterization, Orthopedic Surgery, and Gynecological Surgery just to name a few!
This department is staffed by many Certified Operating Room Nurses and Certified Post Anesthesia Care Nurses. The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will also oversee the Cath Lab Suite and its accompanying staff. With 50+FTE to supervise, this Nurse Director will be looked at to use their Surgery Department Management Experience to lead a growing, high-energy department.
The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will provide direction and facilitation of Department goals and objectives. They will Mentor staff members providing care throughout the Department to ensure a standard of care set by the Hospital. They will maintain operating and capital budgets and be in charge of all aspects of staffing and performance reviews.
Located in Denver, the Nurse Director will be able to enjoy Rockies, Avalanche, and Broncos games. The downtown area is known for its culture and art as well as an upcoming foodie destination. The weekends will be a vacation every weekend with short drive to the Rocky Mountains to enjoy hiking, skiing, and other nature activities.
