Job Details: Contract: 13 weeks Pay Rate: $53-62/hr for locals, $2,300-2,620/week for travelers based on experience Shift:  Days - 40hrs/weeks - Exact hours discussed in the interview Experience: 2+ years of Nuclear Med tech experience Requirements: ARRT (N) or CNMT from the state of Indiana or compact Skills checklist 2 professional references Driver's license Description: A nuclear medicine technologist is responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients undergoing scans for diagnostic purposes. The nuclear medicine technologist will use the scanner to create images of various areas of the patient's body which will emit radiation from the drugs to indicate the presence of diseases.
Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals orally or by injection or inhalation. Explaining the imaging procedure to patients, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort while placing them in the appropriate position for scanning. Operating imaging equipment, such as PET and SPECT scans. Processing images on the brain, thyroid, bone, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver on the computer.
