NPI Buyer Location Columbus, OH : Title - NPD Sourcing Engineer (new product development) Location - Columbus, Ohio (onsite only)

Mandatory Skills:
· Must have 5-7 years of experience related to the sourcing & supply chain management and should have worked as an NPD sourcing engineer for a global company.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as Part Prints, Bills of Material, Manufacturing Routings, and Job Order forms.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong computer proficiency with desired experience using Microsoft Office Suite and ERP System (Oracle based ERP system is preferable but not mandatory)
· Ability to prioritize work and adapt work schedule to meet deadlines.
· Previous procurement and sourcing experience in an ISO-9001 or equivalent QMS "Quality Management System".
· Should have understanding about New Product Development Projects & should have experience working with cross functional team.
· Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or technical degree. Other degrees considered with prior related experience.
Responsibilities:
· Work with cross functional team to support New Product Development projects.
· Arrange and coordinate to create POs and agreements for prototype parts and materials in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
· Prepare and Manage RFx "Requests for Quotation, Information, or Proposals "of local & import sourcing requirements.
· Identify new and alternate sources of prototype parts as per project requirements.
· Manage NPD inventories to meet project budgets and schedules.
· Participate in project management meetings, gaining a better understanding of the immediate priorities for ongoing NPD projects.
· Manage communication between industrialization team and manufacturing plants to ensure parts requirements are known, critical to quality criteria (CTQs) are identified and communicated, material is available when needed.
· Work closely with project management to ensure material expenses are aligned with the project budget.
· Work with Supply Chain and internal machine shop/in-house source to evaluate and select the optimal source for prototype parts based on cost, quality, and schedule.
· Work with suppliers and internal machine shop/in house source to ensure on-time delivery of prototype parts.
· Develop methods to evaluate supply sources of prototype parts for on-time delivery and quality performance.
· Communicate forecasts and material requirements with supplier or internal prototype source as per NPD projects timeline.
· Responsible to deliver all critical supplier on-boarding requirements (e.g. NDA to protect all intellectual property, tax documentation, vendor-master data collections of banking accounts, terms, and contact information).
· Other NPD sourcing related tasks assigned as a valued member of the organization.

Pay: $46,152.79 - $80,000.00 per year
