Salary: Pay DOE (Depends on Experience) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Nightshift Welder to join our team in Loris, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding and be comfortable working night shifts. The shift welder will be responsible for performing welding tasks to fabricate and repair metal structures and components according to specifications and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform MIG welding to join, fabricate, and repair metal parts and structures. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to understand welding requirements and specifications. Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper settings and adjustments for optimal performance. Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete welding projects efficiently and accurately. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time, materials used, and any issues encountered. Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality control and safety. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a MIG welder, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Proficient in using hand and power tools related to welding and fabrication. Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in welding or a related field. Experience with other welding techniques such as TIG or Stick welding. Knowledge of fabrication and metalworking processes. Working Conditions: Nightshift schedule, with potential overtime as needed. Work may involve exposure to various hazards such as noise, fumes, and heavy machinery. The position may require working in confined spaces, heights, and varying temperatures.
