Job Title: Route Supervisor
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Position Type: Full-Time, Night Shift (Some weekends required)
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Route Supervisor to oversee our daily and nightly service delivery, ensuring that all operations are executed safely, on time, and cost-effectively. The Route Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of service, adhering to company practices, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise drivers, ensuring that all daily operations run smoothly. This includes greeting drivers, overseeing pre and post-trip inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Establish and maintain a clean and safe work environment. The Route Supervisor will enforce company policies and ensure that all team members understand and adhere to safety guidelines. Conduct route observations, identify training needs, and engage in performance evaluations. The Route Supervisor will also be involved in the disciplinary process and attend meetings that apply positive leadership principles. Respond promptly to dispatch calls, manage customer issues, and ensure that all service requirements are communicated clearly to drivers. The Route Supervisor will also occasionally drive and assist on routes to cover shortages and support drivers behind schedule. Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in transportation management, logistics, or related fields. An Associate's Degree or extensive experience in similar roles is preferred. Previous supervisory or management experience. Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, ANSI, and other relevant regulations. Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license, or ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven customer service skills. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, and be available to address operational issues by phone at all times. Special Considerations:
This role requires physical work, including driving and working outside for most of the workday. The Route Supervisor may be exposed to various environmental conditions and occupational risks.
