Visionary Homes is looking for a Superintendent to work in one of our communities in Box Elder, Weber, and/or Utah County, UT. A Superintendent's primary responsibility is to manage all functions of the job site as it relates to home construction while providing excellent customer service. The Superintendent manages the construction of multiple homes from permit to closing by supervising job site subcontractors, homeowner walk-throughs, and inspections while maintaining company construction and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and direct construction activities on the building siteComplete each home site on schedule from planning through occupancy, ensuring all contract obligations are satisfiedApprove work being performed by subcontractors and handle any related issuesAuthorize payment of subcontractors upon thorough inspection of workMaintain a safe work site by implementing safety requirements and good housekeeping regulations, enforcing safe work habits, observing OSHA requirements and any state-level agencies' regulationsMaintain compliance with all applicable building codesVerify all checklists are completed and inspections are scheduled and passedConduct homeowner orientation and any re-walks ensuring homeowner satisfactionRecognize and enforce quality standards through daily inspection of homes under constructionMonitor subdivision cleanliness and hold subcontractors responsible for daily clean-upSchedule and manage subcontractors to make designated warranty repairsFollow up with homeowners to ensure concerns are addressed in a timely and professional mannerConduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyDevelop and maintain good rapport with subcontractors, homeowners, city officials, and inspectorsExecute company policies and enforce uniformity in construction methods to ensure compliance with quality standardsSuggest improvements within the systemMust be able to work additional hours as necessary to meet business needs. This is an exempt position.Qualifications/Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in construction management or 3-5 years of related experienceMust have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive among designated communitiesAbility to utilize Visionary Homes construction applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptopProficiency with MS Office and emailOSHA 30 is not required prior to hire but will be an initial training requirement when hiredAbout You You are passionate about providing an exceptional experience for our home buyers.
