Banner – University Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to be part of a dynamic team providing inpatient care in the Neurocritical Care Unit at Banner University Medical Center Tucson ( BUMCT ). BUMCT is a Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient and acute care experience, but the position is open to those without such experience as on-the-job training is encouraged and expected. Prior neuroscience or critical care background and exposure are preferred as are candidates who appreciate a team-based approach to caring for patients requiring critical care.
As an APP , this position is involved in the clinical management of patients, performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, and education. The position offers a supportive environment with growth opportunities to learn and improve critical care skills as well as developing expertise in the management of patients with a range of neurologic diagnoses.

Minimum Qualifications: + Current Acute Care Nurse Practitioner board certification
+ DEA license, BLS , ACLS certification
+ ENLS training is preferred (can be completed within 1 month of hire)
