As a part of LCRA's Telecom Architecture team, your expertise will contribute to crafting on the Wide Area Network (WAN) Transport system that strives to improve the quality of life of the Texans we serve. You are someone with commanding knowledge of sophisticated routing protocols, industry best practices in network design, and can provide deliverable design documents to the organization. Our mission is to improve the lives of Central Texas and our teams are dedicated to service with safety focus as top priority!You will be trusted to:- Develop methodologies, evaluations, and recommendations for system capacity planning and corresponding architecture changes due to capacity objectives.- Support growth of external customer broadband and technology opportunities, including but not limited to network routing systems, DWDM technologies, p-LTE, cybersecurity, and firewalls.- Use design, network management, and system operations expertise to create uniform solutions and approaches, with attention to long-term equipment management and overall network operability.- Lead, develop and document recommendations for architecture standards within the network.- Monitor and analyze the stability, interoperability, and availability of systems and provide architectural change recommendations to increase overall availability for mission and business-critical systems.You qualify with:- Nine or more years of experience in designing, planning and/or troubleshooting large-scale enterprise networks, or other relevant experience.
