Position Purpose: Barrett-Jackson Auction Company is seeking a customer focused Network Engineer to join our growing team. As the Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable network infrastructure to support our multiple fixed office locations and annual auctions across the US.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Palo Alto and Aruba devices, Microsoft Office, network security and monitoring software. The Network Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring our network infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficient to support the needs of our fast-paced and dynamic auction events.
Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN networks across office locations and auction sites, ensuring optimal performance and security. Implement and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to safeguard the company's data and network infrastructure. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues that may arise, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new software and hardware into the network. Maintain detailed documentation of network design, configurations, and procedures for efficient troubleshooting and future expansion. Provide technical support and training to staff members as needed, ensuring they can utilize company resources effectively and securely. Coordinate and manage on-site network setup and support during annual auctions. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in network technology and industry best practices, recommending improvements and upgrades as necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on LAN and WAN technologies. Certification in network security and monitoring (e.g., CCNA Security, CompTIA Network+, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc). Highly skilled in delivering outstanding customer service. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff members. Willingness to travel to annual auction events. Culture Barrett-Jackson's culture is live and in-person our business to the core. Team members are in the office 5 days per week, 8am to 5pm at the Scottsdale, AZ headquarters. During live events the company largely travels together to produce and ensure each event is a success. This requires weekend work and long hours. Most will tell you they'd prefer to be nowhere else.
