Job summary
Full-time Network Administrator opportunity available based in Charleston, SCRequires a current DoD Secret security clearanceResponsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of networking equipment
Job seniority: entry level
Responsibilities
• Plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network• Advise network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations• Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing• Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities• Support the System Engineer/Administrator by providing insight on integration best practices
Requirements
• Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance• Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, and theories• Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with 1 – 2 yrs of experience, or 3-4 yrs. of experience• Security+ Network+• CCNA certification• Ability to travel up to 30%• In some occasions, overnight travel may be required• Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday• May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site
Key Skills Needed
• DoD Secret security clearance• Knowledge of networking equipment• Technical expertise in network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing• Familiarity with routers, firewalls, and access points• Integration best practices
