The National EMS Academy is seeking a NEMSA Instructional Developer for our Lafayette, LA campus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EMS education and a proven ability to design, write, and edit educational materials for use in NEMSA Computer-Based, Virtual Instructor-led, and Instructor-Led training programs. Duties and Responsibilities: Working with Subject Matter Experts and NEMSA Production staff members to design, author, and deploy continuing education content for Instructor-led, Virtual instructor-led, and Computer Based Training materials. Maintain our existing CBT, and VILT library by conducting scheduled revisions, updates, and reviews of existing NEMSA course materials. Supporting other writers within Acadian Companies to produce high-quality written materials for internal and external publication. Teaching live or Virtual Continuing Education classroom sessions as required. Travel to the Lafayette NEMSA Campus weekly is required. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: An associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required, preferably in Education, Education Technology, Instructional Design, Technical Writing, EMS Administration, or healthcare-related field. Current National Registry Paramedic, Registered Nurse, or other healthcare licensure is preferred. A strong, demonstrated ability to produce written training materials using a writing style that is adaptable to multiple audiences across the spectrum for EMS providers and other medical professionals. Ability to adhere to established standards for educational quality. Knowledge of learning management platforms such as Cornerstone on Demand, and virtual instruction technology such as Cisco Webex, is preferred and a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Google Mail, Docs, and Drive is preferred. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.  Team-oriented and able to work effectively and efficiently with others.
