Position Summary: The shipping Material Handler supports the distribution center by efficiently sorting and/or loading hardware-related items on Regional Trucks or Trailers. The shipping Department Material Handlers also checks merchandise and ensures that the product is loaded in the proper delivery sequence.
Position Accountabilities: The following are essential job accountabilities:
Sorting and staging all hardware by Customer Number and Truck Route by wave on pallets. Loading and checking that all material is in proper delivery sequence by wave. Researching any shortages or damages on invoice and manifest. Loading all second deliveries and/or common carriages. Performing other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective, and cost-conscious manner complying with all company policies, rules, and regulations. Skills and Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred Commitment to high standards of safety and compliance to all safety policies and practices. Experience with a pallet jacks Excellent attendance record Ability to work overtime when needed Good comprehension skills Good math skills Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management Attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving skills Excellent organizational skills in maintaining accurate records Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines Must be a team player with a can do attitude Experience operating power equipment a plus Ability to read, write, and speak English Ability to meet all physical assessment requirements for the position Benefits of working as a nd Shift Material Handler in Inwood, WV:
