JOB SUMMARY: Advance water resource programming to address the natural resource needs of stakeholders statewide. Provide principal instruction for the Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector program and associated environmental certification courses. Provide leadership in development of sediment and erosion related education programs to advance the conservation mission of Clemson Extension. Other duties as assigned.JOB DUTIES: 40% - Essential - Provide direct technical instruction in support of the Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector (CEPSCI) program and other environmental compliance certification courses offered by Clemson Extension.
25% - Essential - Coordinate, develop and implement new content in support of CEPSCI and other water resource programs. Collaborate with agents, associates and specialists to accomplish this task. Resource development may include new hybrid courses, programs and workshops, multi-media, publications, website and more. Role will vary to include project lead, collaborator or editor.
20% - Essential - Provide supporting instruction and education as parts of meetings, in-service trainings, webinars, conferences and requested presentations. Develop and provide coordination, instruction and support to in-person and hybrid course offerings. Produce scholarly written publications that reaches the team's target audience
10% - Essential - Provide technical assistance for Extension and outreach efforts targeted at understanding and assessing erosion and sediment control impact on stormwater. Assist in the development of appropriate tools and reports to assess program effectiveness. Modify reporting mechanisms as per federal and state guidelines.
5% - Essential - Attends program specific, office and Extension team meetings and trainings as assigned. Communicates effectively, both verbally and through written correspondence to Extension and program administrators. Participates in training and professional development that may require travel out of assigned territory. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education - Master's Degree - Environmental Science, Soil Science or related field.
Work Experience - 2+ years experience as a sediment and erosion control compliance inspector. Such experience may be for a municipal or county government, state agency, or in the private sector.

WORK SCHEDULE: Standard Hours: 37.5; Expected Salary Range ($45,500 - $75,000)

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations. JOB LOCATION: Clemson, SC
