ODNR owns and manages state parks, state forests, state nature preserves and wildlife areas. We license all hunting, fishing and watercraft; oversee and permit all mineral extraction, monitor dam safety, manage water resources and serve as the second largest Law Enforcement presence in the State of Ohio.

What you will do: Assists in reviews of detailed construction plans and specifications for dams and levees for compliance with appropriate criteria and makes recommendations for approval, disapproval, or modification of the plans to project manager. Assists with detailed hydrologic, hydraulic and stability analyses of embankments that includes analysis of spillways and other appurtenances to evaluate their integrity and safety. Travels to dam sites throughout the state of Ohio to conduct and assist with detailed engineering inspections of existing and proposed dams. Prepares, assists, and reviews written reports of inspections Starting hourly pay of $27.84/ hour with multiple pay increases over your first 9 years of service and an ending hourly pay of $40.77/hour.
