This position is Hybrid Remote Work. The duties of this position are performed remotely as well as at our central office in Salem. The ability to report to Salem is required when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities.

. What we are looking for:
The primary purpose of this position is to work closely with the Federal Forest Restoration (FFR) Program Lead, FFR Environmental Planning Coordinator, and FFR Unit Foresters/Coordinator to fulfill the mission of the Program to 'accelerate the pace, scale and quality of federal forest restoration'.
This position will coordinate the day-to-day operations occurring on federal lands under Good Neighbor Authority (GNA) agreements at ODF, including GNA agreement review and tracking, GNA timber sale contract review, GNA revenue and expenditure tracking, GNA spatial accomplishment tracking, and out-year project planning in order to meet annual/biennial performance goals and targets. There are currently 34 active GNA agreements for both non-commercial planning, implementation, and monitoring work, and this position will directly oversee, review, ensure quality control, and report progress on this work. Manage the forest collaborative support component of the FFR Program. With assistance from the FFR Lead, this position will manage the Technical Assistance and Science Support (TASS) grants and Forest Collaborative Grants including the solicitation, application, guidance, and administration of these two grant offerings. Work to develop specific procedures, guidelines and policies for the FFR Program that ensure delivery of a consistent and coherent program across the state. This will be done by considering statutory direction (ORS 526.272 and 526.275) and ODF and program strategies. Leads the maintenance and improvement of the FFR Program activity tracking geospatial database, which is intended to track all the activities/projects undertaken by the FFR Program across the state. This FFR Field Coordinator position is based in Salem and serves the entire state. Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in Forestry or any natural resource area.
At least one year of the experience must be at a technical or professional level performing activities in a natural resource program such as
researching and analyzing data, conducting investigations, applying pertinent laws and regulations, or coordinating and monitoring project activities; AND
A bachelor's degree in forestry or any natural resource area, or three additional years of related experience. (for a total of 6 years' experience).
A master's degree in forestry or any natural resource area will substitute for up to one year of the required experience.

A Doctorate degree in forestry or any natural resource area will substitute for up to two years of the required experience.
Note: Driver's License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business. If your license is from outside Oregon, you must submit at least a three-year court/DMV printout. If you have an Oregon driver's license, a record check will be conducted on the top candidate to ensure a valid license and acceptable driving record.

Demonstrated experience and knowledge in forestry and natural resources management, specifically in project planning; commercial and non-commercial treatment operations; project appraisal and contract preparation; and project monitoring In-depth understanding of the Good Neighbor Authority and its applications. Knowledge of and ability to interpret federal law, regulation, and policy related to federal forest management; familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations related to grants and agreements. Experience building and maintaining geospatial and tabular data tracking systems. Experience engaging with multi-stakeholder forest collaboratives and demonstrated understanding of public participation in federal land management. Skilled with research and data analysis; ability to communicate technical information and concepts orally and in writing to a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage program budgets; strategically allocate financial and staffing resources; and apply policies and procedures to achieve program goals and deliverables. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships internally as well as externally with federal partners and stakeholders. How to Apply:
