Full job description EMPLOYMENT TERMS: One term adjunct position, renewable as needed

PRIMARY DUTY: The Department of Fine and Performing Arts is seeking applicants who can teach applied lessons in instrumental music.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide lessons in instrumental music specific to the needs of the department and the instrumental discipline of the candidate. Perform other duties as assigned related to applied lessons REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE COURSES:
Education: Earned Master's degree in music with at least 18 hours of preparation appropriate to the area of applied lessons.
Certification/License: Driver's license
Experience: Evidence of successful instrumental music instruction
Skills: Skills and experience in the appropriate discipline of instrumental music
WORKING CONDITIONS: This position will provide applied lessons in the studios on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. The instructor will teach in an academic environment with collaborative team-based faculty and have access to web-based platforms for providing any digital content necessary along with Northwest email.



TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to complete essential classroom/applied studio functions and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
