Job SummaryUnder the direct supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Creative Strategy, the Multimedia and Creative Strategy Coordinator will support in the development of videos that promote Long Beach State Athletic programs. This position will serve as backup to Beach Vision for game day production broadcast. Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Athletics external groups to align with overarching developmental goals.Responsible for technical aspects of video production and post-production.Serve in a variety of production positions including camera operator, video controller, video producer, video director, playback/CG operator, replay operator, technical director and/or utility/grip.Maintain and organize all drives and archives of video content.Under the instruction of the Assistant Athletic Director, Marketing & Creative Services identify important stories that will best capture and communicate event highlights at Long Beach State to our fan base.Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of full range of production techniques including sound recording, graphics, television, photography, videotaping, lighting, editing methods and equipment. Strong video shooting and editing skills, good understanding of interviewing/scripting/storytelling, knowledge of content marketing and program marketing. Ability to learn techniques in the development of television, film, or multimedia productions.
