Position Title: Project Superintendent in Multi-family
Company: Fairway Construction Co., Inc.
Schedule: Superintendents typically travel through the week to their project sites. Considered overnight travel if more that 1 hour from home. We cover travel expenses!

Fairway Construction Co., Inc. was founded in 1984 to provide construction services for JES Holdings, LLC. Throughout the years, Fairway Construction's expertise has grown from building affordable multi-family housing communities to include the construction of skilled nursing care centers, market-rate apartment communities, residential lofts, the rehabilitation of historic properties and conventional senior memory care facilities. Due to our reputation for consistently completing quality developments on time and within budget, FWC has expanded to add third-party construction developments and provides project management and consulting services for numerous developers. FWC offers a wide range of services to assist our clients from pre-construction through completion.

POSITION SUMMARY / PURPOSE
The Project Superintendent is responsible for maintaining the overall construction schedule and completion dates of the project, providing input during the scheduling exercises prior to and throughout the project.

This position travels frequently, with overnight stays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintaining the overall construction schedule and completion dates of the project, providing input during the scheduling exercises prior to and throughout the project.
Manage the overall project budget and provide value engineering opportunities throughout the project.
Direct and supervise all on-site subcontractors and laborers, as well as other FWC staff.
Verify all construction and installation processes for quality, including affirming measurements and elevations of buildings, streets, utilities and other structures.
Ensure all city, county, and state construction codes and regulations are met.
Ensure all safety requirements are met and provide weekly safety meeting for all persons on-site at all phases of the project.
Must be able to evaluate and develop solutions to problems and questions from subcontractors and other workers on-site.
Schedule and coordinate all deliveries.
Ensure all Earth Craft requirements are met and documentation is provided throughout the project.
Attend all company meetings representing current projects, including monthly meetings at various locations with owners.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Advanced knowledge in interpreting building blueprints, including estimating
Advanced construction skills and knowledge in building and site construction work
Strong computer skills and a knowledge of construction software, i.e. Microsoft Project, ProCore and Netsuite.
Experience working with 3rd party developers and state and local officials is preferred
Onsite construction experience, with supervisory experience
Ability to communicate internally and externally to appropriate customers
OSHA training and preferred
EarthCraft certified preferred
Knowledge of ADA or certification preferred
Ability to create, edit and send work documents in Microsoft Office Suite
Project management, time management, math, communication and critical thinking skills in managing work creation and flow
Possess reliable transportation and ability to drive to company owned locations as needed

MINIMUM

EDUCATION/EQUIVALENT

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent required with 8 years of construction experience. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or relevant field preferred.

Multi-family and stick-built construction required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Physical Demands
Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and reaching walking, pushing, pulling and carrying. Lifting may include up to 50 pounds. Walking is 30% of job.

• Work Environment
Duties performed both inside and outside even in extreme temperatures of below 32 degrees and above 100 degrees. Exposure to building, construction or painting chemicals.
