Mtge Loan Assistant Location Hybrid remote in Chesterfield, MO : Mortgage Loan Assistant A Mortgage Loan Assistant assists Mortgage Home Loan Consultant(s) with loan entry in the loan system, setting up loan files in accepted underwriting order, sending documentation to processors and/or underwriters, and communicating direct with processing and underwriting staff in regards to loan officer files.
What You Will Be Doing Labeling each condition by number (coinciding with loan approval) giving to underwriting along with the file for review Communicating directly with customers, real estate agents and business partners to retrieve needed conditions Ordering prelims and escrows with title companies; as needed Facilitating the transfer of loan files from origination to processing/underwriting Providing general assistance to the designated loan consultant High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One to two years mortgage experience is preferred and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledgeable of underwriting/qualifying requirements for secondary market investors; including FHA, VA, FMHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and private companies; knowledgeable of First Bank's underwriting/qualifying requirements a strong plus Registration under the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required upon hire.
