Responsibilities:
Instructional Support:
Own students' academic progress and attendance, maintaining high expectations for achievement.
Prepare students for standardized tests and conduct live synchronous teaching sessions.
Support learning objectives through asynchronous tasks like composing emails, planning courses, and using data to tailor instruction.
Collaborate with regional teams and fellow educators on instruction, resources, and data-driven decision-making.
Be open to regular coaching and guidance from administrators and trainers.
Enhance course content according to guidelines, utilizing various tools for asynchronous and synchronous learning.
Submit grades, ensuring academic integrity, and maintain grade books.
Relationship Building:
Establish positive relationships with students, families, and learning coaches.
Communicate regularly with students, learning coaches, and parents on curricular and instructional matters.
Assist students and learning coaches with setting up and maintaining their virtual learning environment.
Understand and support diverse characteristics of students and families.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success and provide a central point of contact for parents.
Respond promptly to student, parent, and colleague inquiries.
Other Essential Functions:
Organize social and educational activities for students and families, such as virtual clubs and outings.
Travel occasionally to testing sites for proctoring state exams.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Six (6) months of student teaching experience
Clear background check
Appropriate teaching certification
Desired Qualifications:
Strong pedagogical knowledge and critical thinking skills
Familiarity with state content standards and ability to align with curriculum
Adaptability to change for student success
Independent problem-solving skills and organization
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Travel flexibility (approximately once per month)
Access to reliable high-speed internet
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new technologies
Experience working with diverse age groups and virtual environments
Familiarity with online platforms such as Blackboard Collaborate, Newrow, or Edgelink
Compensation & Benefits:
Anticipated salary range: $48,000
Eligible for bonuses
Salary based on experience, location, and other factors
