Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher to join our team, a Stride K12 partner school. As a highly qualified, state-certified educator, you will be responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Our Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, focusing on students' individual needs and progress. This position is full-time, with the flexibility of working from home while occasionally traveling to school functions throughout the year.
Essential Responsibilities
Instructional:
Take ownership for students' academic progress and attendance, communicating high expectations and active interest in students' achievement.
Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests and conduct live synchronous teaching for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Collaborate with local/regional/national teams regarding instruction, resources, and interventions.
Submit grades and required student work, maintaining student academic honesty and integrity.
Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain positive rapport with families, regularly communicating with students and learning coaches/parents.
Support students and learning coaches/parents with the setup and maintenance of their learning environment.
Work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure all students are successfully progressing through the program.
Other Essential Functions:
Organize social and educational activities for students and families, including sponsorship of virtual clubs and outings.
Travel to testing sites to proctor state exams.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree
Six (6) months of student teaching experience
Ability to clear required background check(s)
Desired:
Pedagogical knowledge of content being taught and ability to apply critical thinking
Familiarity with state content standards and ability to align with the K12 curriculum
Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
Strong problem-solving skills and organizational abilities
Experience working in a virtual environment and with online platforms
Work Environment
This position is virtual, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from a professional home office. The work environment is supportive and collaborative, with a focus on student success and continuous improvement.
Compensation & Benefits
Salaries will be determined based on education, experience, and the position's level and expected contribution. We offer a robust benefits package that may include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off. The anticipated salary range for this position is $48,000, with the possibility of a bonus.
