The primary duty of a Quality Assurance Officer (Motor Vehicle Program Inspector) is to oversee and carry out audits of inspection stations to ensure compliance with safety inspection program regulations. In addition to identifying and reporting fraudulent activities during audits, you will provide technical and administrative support to maintain program compliance. Responsibilities also include managing a large caseload, guiding program inspectors, and coordinating daily operations in a specific geographic region. Administrative audits on safety inspection stations will be conducted to verify adherence to processes, procedures, regulations, and the Vehicle Code. Investigative audits, both overt and covert, may be conducted independently or in collaboration with law enforcement to uphold the integrity of the safety inspection program. Comprehensive safety re-inspections on vehicles will be performed to guarantee safe operation, and any complaints from law enforcement or customers regarding vehicle inspections will be investigated thoroughly.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Flex time and overtime as required
This position is responsible for auditing inspections stations in Northumberland, Clinton, Mifflin, Union, Cameron, and Snyder Counties.
The headquarters may be located at the driver license center in one of these counties, depending upon the selected candidate's current location.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience in an automotive repair related field such as: service writer/advisor; technical manual writer; automotive tool and equipment salesman/serviceman; auto mechanic; or auto shop foreman and a high school diploma;
or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
This position requires possession of a Pennsylvania Safety Mechanics Certification within 90 days of the date of employment.
Additional Requirement:
This position requires possession of a valid PA Class non-commercial driver's license.
