: The City of Dover is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Motor Equipment Operator II – Grounds Division in the Parks and Recreation Department. The primary duties of this position are to assist in performing a variety of mowing, landscaping, tree maintenance, flower bed maintenance and facility maintenance at the City's 240 acres of property along with other assigned duties.
Job Responsibilities Responsible for working outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Perform such duties as mowing grass, trimming and remove vegetation, trim trees, mulching, pulling weeds, blowing leaves, perform yard repairs, and plant and maintain flower beds. Inspect motor equipment daily and perform minor maintenance; complete job-related logs and forms and assist in providing information to the public. This position is classified as essential personnel that will be required to assist with weather emergencies such as but not limited to snowstorms.
