Job Title: Mortgage Servicing Specialist I (level II possible depending upon experience)
Dept: Mortgage Servicing
Position Location: 1000 St. Albans Dr.; Raleigh, NC 27609. This is a hybrid position.
Your impact: As a Mortgage Servicing Specialist I, you'll have the opportunity to use your detail orientation and accuracy talents to prepare reports, process loan payments, administrate insurances, and maintain accounts. You'll also have the opportunity to use your problem solving abilities and relationship-building skills as you work with our members, vendors, and other institutions to provide our members with a great experience as you assist them with all of their mortgage servicing needs.
The contributions you can anticipate making: Updating and maintaining mortgage information by posting payments, setting up new loans, updating member information, processing payoffs, researching accounts, and handling insurance, curtailments, and adjustments.
Responding to all member enquiries (phone, email, mail, secured messages, etc.) and working with other departments or outside sources to meet their needs and resolve their issues.
Helping the members with their concerns or problems, in a timely manner, by either resolving them personally or coordinating the resolution through the appropriate department and then following up to ensure the member was satisfied with the resolution.
Monitoring and completing all assigned reports to help the department achieve its goals and reporting requirements.
Maintaining knowledge of Coastal's products/services and the Loan Servicing Department's policies, procedures, and products so you may confidently resolve member issues.
Maintaining knowledge of and completing tasks in accordance with compliance regulations including Fannie Mae Servicing Compliance, the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Homeowners Protection Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) policies.

One year of loan servicing experience or experience in a role involving loan products and lending regulations.
Mortgage accounting experience preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
