Some of the responsibilities include:
-Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
-Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
-Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs.
-Implementing lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development
-Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children.
Qualifications:
Head Teacher position:
-Montessori Certificate (AMS or AMI), or 12 ECE units and currently engaged in Montessori training.
-Minimum 2 years of working experience as a lead teacher in the toddler or primary classroom.
-Displays strong classroom leadership and critical thinking skills.
-Highly organized, curriculum and classroom management skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Teacher / Substitute Teacher position:
-A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education Units OR 6 units w/current enrollment in ECE classes.
-Montessori training or training in progress, and/or previous working experience in a Montessori environment (preferred).
-Will provide a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where a child's potential to learn and explore is maximized.
