The Kensington mine and associated milling facilities are located within the Berners Bay Mining District on the east side of Lynn Canal about 45 miles north-northwest of Juneau, Alaska. The schedule for this position is 15 days on at the Kensington mine site located about 45-miles north of Juneau, accessible only through company transportation, and 13 days off.If you are motivated by unique challenges, change, working in a remote location and work-life balance with the flexibility of a rotational schedule, this opportunity is for you!The Mobile Maintenance Supervisor will reside in the Mine Maintenance department and will report to the Maintenance Superintendent.Responsibilities:Supervises, guides and mentors personnel to improve maintenance safety, preventive maintenance procedures and repairs efficiently to maximize Company production goals.Establishes maintenance priorities and interacts with operational personnel to coordinate maintenance activities with production requirements.Tracks and evaluates employee performance and job assignments.Proactively assesses, monitors and recommends modifications to increase safety, environmental, and health aspects of the mobile maintenance shop and duties.Monitors records of the mobile maintenance department including safety meetings, attendance, paid time off, scheduling, and incidents.Provides consistency in the application of Company policies, procedures, and training to ensure the safest work environment for employees.Ensures that performance expectations and proficiency standards are achieved consistently.Qualifications/Educational Requirements:Ability to work safe and promote safe behavior in others.Strong understanding of maintenance principles.Five years' experience working in mobile maintenance.Must have at least one year of lead-hand experience with a mechanical or technical background in maintenance.General knowledge of the mining process and the integration of the mining, milling, and maintenance functions.Ability to work a 15 day on / 13 day off schedule. This is a Fly in / Fly out role (candidates may choose to live in lower 48). Candidates must have demonstrated success working safely, independently, assuming responsibility, and communicating effectively and professionally.Ability to estimate employee hours and costs for maintenance work.Proficient with Microsoft office, and/or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), preferably Oracle.Sets high standards for self and others, builds trust, and takes accountability.Preference given to Alaska residents.
