What You Will Do + Assists in the planning and performing of mining engineering duties related to development and production at assigned site
+ Assists in the development of mining plans to support short and/or long-range planning and production goals
+ Participates in engineering feasibility studies to define proper mining methods, equipment selection, mine site facilities, and manpower and production requirements.
+ Monitors mining methods and equipment, with a view to improving performance
+ Assists in developing and managing mine, mine ventilation, waste dumps and stockpile designs
+ Assists in identifying courses of action to improve safety, operational efficiencies, control production costs and protect the environment.
+ Perform other duties as required
What You Bring To Freeport + Bachelor's degree in Mining or Geological Engineering with no experience required
+ Knowledge of the principles and practices of mining engineering
+ Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
+ Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently? $76,000-$104,000 .?This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
