Boeing's Mission Accelerator program is currently looking for a
Mid-Level Cloud Software Engineer
to join the
Mission Accelerator Team
located in
Ridley Park, PA
. This position will focus on supporting the
Boeing Global Services (BGS)
digital and analytics government and military business. The program oversees the strategy, processes, people, investments, and the development of a broad portfolio of digital and analytic tools sitting on common cloud-based platforms. These tools provide customers with a variety of capabilities to help them optimize their programs and maximize their mission success.
Examples of capabilities include, but are not limited to, predictive maintenance solutions, supply chain optimization solutions utilizing advanced demand forecasting, real-time decision support models to optimize troubleshooting of complex systems. As part of the Mission Accelerator program, the technical development team applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, integrate, and deploy cutting-edge digital and analytics capabilities, tools, and processes for our customers. This team defines and controls the technical strategy, executes multiple complex statements of work, and coordinates with a variety of resources required over the life of the project.
This team is defining the future of digital and analytics capabilities for our customers. As part of this program, you'll work with a wide range of cutting-edge software technologies as well as the latest data science solutions. That includes internal development activities as well as partnering with other industry leaders to bring the best of breed solutions to Boeing's customers.
A successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and must be efficient in working both independently and across dynamic development organizations. The position will be responsible for implementing software containerization architecture and components utilizing cloud stack technologies. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with project managers, development teams, and customers. The candidate will engage frequently and work closely with the Mission Accelerator architects and project managers. The candidate will be responsible for supporting a variety of application capabilities with a direct impact on users and customers. The candidate will be responsible to incorporate architecture functions into the software development lifecycle.
Position Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
Develop and maintain cloud software and solutions in accordance with best practices
Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security
Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements
Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
AWS, or GCP, or Azure certifications preferred
Troubleshooting and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Client management skills to discuss systems as needed

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of developing solutions with Ansible or similar tools
Experience developing and testing software products in a cloud computing environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working with Container Orchestration or IaaS offerings
Experience with SAFe Agile
Experience with AWS, Azure
Experience with Openshift, Airflow
Typical Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

Summary pay range for Experienced: $112,200.00 - $151,800.00
